Johanneke Hartog

Biography

Dr. Johanneke Hartog is a human movement scientist with over 10 years of experience in cardiovascular health, specializing in pre- and postoperative cardiac rehabilitation and longitudinal data analysis. She is actively involved in the international prehabilitation network, contributing to the advancement of preoperative care in cardiac surgery.

During her PhD at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), she implemented an innovative, multi-disciplinary preoperative cardiac rehabilitation programme and served as co-principal investigator of the Heart-ROCQ study. The design of this study was awarded at the ESCVS Congress in 2019. In April 2025, 350 patients have been enrolled, and preliminary short-term results will be presented at this conference.
